OLEMA CAMPGROUND
We visited Olema for Thanksgiving in 2020. It was a very pleasant surprise and a nice change from our usual coastal visits. We had partial hook ups, very little wind, and great spots!
Olema Campground is just outside of Olema, south of the little town of Point Reyes Station,
and next to the Point Reyes National Seashore. There are plenty of fun activities nearby.
Olema Campground – there is a drive to the ocean, but the trade off is less winds and better weather.
OLEMA
The area in and around Olema is pretty, and we really enjoyed the park. We stayed in one of the “cul de sac” areas in the park next to each other, and because of that, we had large sites. Plenty of room for a fire, our cornhole game, dogs and more. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. These sites do not have full hook-ups, however. There is a dump station in the campground and a honey wagon.
There are sites with full hook ups, but they are a lot smaller and more crowded together. The campground offers a playground for the kids, and a washer/dryer facility. Also, visitors to Olema Campground will be pleased to find clean bathrooms and showers with hot water. No extra charge for showers. Free WiFi internet access, propane on site.
