Pahrump Nevada
On this leg of our trip, we left Lone Pine, California and drove through Death Valley to Pahrump Nevada. Long, hot day – more on Death Valley – click here.
We stayed at Preferred RV Resort, mostly because it is part of the park membership (Coast to Coast) that we belong to. Can’t bet the price 🙂
Preferred RV Resort in Pahrump
It is a nice park. A few trees, pull through sites that fit us, and lots of amenities and things to do. As it is over 111 degrees today here, it took quite a while to get the rig to cool down – it was 99 inside when we arrived. So it was a very pleasant surprise to find out that there was a dinner in the clubhouse, for a small price. It was delicious! There are so many things to do – pool tables, pool, indoor spa, fitness center, laundry rooms, and free wifi.

There are other planned activities also – if I was not so out of practice, the Texas hold’m game might have been fun to get into. There are pull classes, arts and crafts, horseshoes, shuffleboard and even cornhole! And everyone we have talked to is friendly and nice.
The sites were a little close together, especially with the loud vehicle next to our bedroom that started up around 6 both mornings – no sleeping in. But we didn’t spend any time outside (too hot), so it wasn’t a big issue. There are two casinos right next door, and Smith’s for grocery shopping just down the street.
