Mancos Colorado – Mesa Verde RV

Mancos Colorado

This stop was not on our original plan, but mom & dad suggested we might enjoy Mesa Verde National Park, and we really did enjoy it!

We chose and stayed at this RV Resort, as it was the closest Good Sam park to the National Park.  It was a nice park and we enjoyed our stay.  All of the sites at the park have wonderful views of Mesa Verde (“green table” in Spanish), complimentary wi-fi, and picnic tables.  No cable though.  The RV sites are all wide enough to accommodate multiple slides.

We made this stop in order to take a day trip to Mesa Verde National Park.  The park has several well-preserved “cliff dwellings” of the Pueblo people who lived here for over 700 years.  Even though so many things were shut down due to Covid 19 during the trip, including in the parks, we were still able to drive around and see plenty.  This would be a time I wish I had a better camera than my iPhone however as some of the cliff dwellings were quite a ways away.  Still, I highly recommend making the stop if you are in the area.  The park is huge and there is a lot of driving from site to site.
