RVing in Flagstaff Arizona

We used Flagstaff Arizona as our main point to visit other areas.  We stayed at the Flagstaff KOA, and we had one of the few newly improved sites – it was great.  The downside of traveling to this area this time of year is that it gets below freezing at night, so be prepared if you are visiting.  But the weather was sunny and warm (kinda) for the beginning of November.

As stated above, the campground was great.  We had a brick patio, fire pit, chairs, and plenty of room for our big rig.  And the best part was the trees … we missed those traveling through Arizona.  Being from central California, we aren’t used to so much desert.  This campground is open year-round, but it also was in winter mode.  But we knew that when we made reservations.

The first day trip we took was to the Grand Canyon – more of this trip and tips on my Grand Canyon post.

The next day we took a trip to Sedona Arizona – more of this trip on my Sedona Arizona post.

Flagstaff is a larger city with malls, Walmarts, and all of the things needed to stock up on the trip for the smaller areas, which we did.  And it worked wonderfully for a central place to do our day journies.
