Southern Oregon RV Park, Central Point, Oregon

A Great Place to Stay – Southern Oregon RV Park

Nestled in the picturesque Rogue Valley, Southern Oregon RV Park offers a serene retreat for RV enthusiasts and outdoor lovers alike. With its strategic location near Ashland, Medford, and Jacksonville, this park serves as the perfect basecamp for exploring all that Southern Oregon has to offer. Here’s a recount of my delightful stay, which might just inspire your next RV adventure.

First Impressions

As soon as we arrived, the beauty and tranquility of the park were immediately apparent. The layout is thoughtfully designed, with spacious sites that provide plenty of privacy and room to relax. The park grounds are immaculate, reflecting the staff’s commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for all guests.

Accommodations and Amenities

Southern Oregon RV Park is equipped with 92 full-hookup sites, each offering water, sewer, and both 30 and 50 amp electrical services. The pull-through and back-in sites accommodate various RV sizes, making it easy to find a spot that suits your vehicle. Each site also boasts a picnic table and a fire pit, perfect for those evening gatherings under the stars.

The amenities here go beyond basic needs. The park features clean and modern restroom and shower facilities, which are well-maintained throughout the day. For those who need to catch up on laundry, the on-site laundry facilities are a godsend. There’s also a centrally located pavilion, which is ideal for group gatherings or enjoying a family meal outdoors.

Recreation and Activities

One of the highlights of Southern Oregon RV Park is its proximity to a plethora of outdoor activities. The park is adjacent to the Bear Creek Greenway, a 20-mile, paved, multi-use trail that’s perfect for biking, jogging, or a leisurely stroll. This trail connects several cities and offers scenic views and wildlife spotting opportunities.  The park is located next to the county fairgrounds also.

For fishing enthusiasts, the park is close to several lakes and rivers, including the famous Rogue River, known for its excellent salmon and steelhead fishing. If hiking is more your style, you’re in luck. The surrounding areas are filled with trails varying in difficulty, including paths that offer breathtaking views of the valley.

Exploring the Local Area

Southern Oregon is rich in culture and history, and the RV park is conveniently located to explore local attractions. Ashland, known for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, is just a short drive away. Medford offers a vibrant culinary scene and local shopping, while Jacksonville features charming historic buildings and boutiques.

It Also Makes A Great One Night Stop

My stay at Southern Oregon RV Park was good. The park’s location, coupled with its top-notch facilities and friendly staff, made it the perfect overnight stop as we head north to the Oregon Coast. It is a nice shorter drive from where we stayed in Redding. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful retreat in nature or a quick overnight stop, this park caters to all.

If you’re planning a trip to Southern Oregon, consider staying at Southern Oregon RV Park. It’s more than just a place to park your RV; it’s a gateway to exploring the beauty and excitement of the region. Happy travels!
